New Interactive Online Map Enables Westminster Borough Residents to Plan Leisure and Outdoor Activities
London Borough of Westminster wanted to encourage greater participation by borough residents in a variety of "green" initiatives. We provided technical services on the initial website design and development, and then redesign and development services for phase 2 of the project, including the development of an interactive map of the borough.
Design: Refreshed initial design and reordered navigation to better communicate key areas of the Go Green website; added easy to use multi-layered interactive facilities and services map for the borough.
Features: sophisticated database-driven functionality to enable easy access to broad range of "green" information, council resources and links to external sites; interactive Go Green Heroes area with video and image upload and gallery, and email to a friend feature; multi-layered interactive map showing walks, sports centres, wildlife areas and leisure facilities; bespoke Content Management System to enable quick and easy updates to the site's content and images.
